About Jennifer P Nikitin

As a visual artist, my work delves into women's rights, human rights, and the freedom symbolized by horses, employing acrylic, felt, wood, and metal. Influenced by my time on a Nova Scotian farm, I mastered felting alongside shearing and carding, enriching my artistic palette.

My practice thrives on medium diversity, creating multi-dimensional artworks that mirror complex themes. Rooted in rural landscape, my art draws inspiration from agricultural surroundings and natural environments.

A commitment to youth engagement stands out, running art programs that empower creativity and foster meaningful dialogue among young participants. In Eastern Ontario, a blend of English-French cultures and governmental-agricultural landscapes provides fertile ground for thematic explorations.

Art serves as a catalyst for cultural dialogue, addressing critical social issues and reflecting the region's aspirations for inclusivity and progress. By empowering youth, not only nurtures artistic talent but also promote self-discovery and empathy.

In summary, my artistic journey bridges personal experiences, societal consciousness, and community engagement. Through diverse mediums and youth empowerment initiatives, I contribute to a vibrant artistic landscape in Eastern Ontario, inspiring positive change and fostering reflective dialogue.
